TEXAS STATE CAPITOL BUILDING
Austin, Texas
Completed in 1888, this Capitol is one of the Nation's finest and largest. During her early history, Texas had little money but plenty of land. o complete a worthy buildin, the Capitol Syndicate was formed.
The Syndicate agreed to build the Capitol in exchange for 3,000,000 acres of West Texas land. This property became the foundation for many great ranches, including the XIT, meaning "ten counties in Texas."
